The low footboard Olive White Wash French Bed in King Size is a delightful recreation of a traditional French bergere bed design, with mahogany frame which is painted and finished with double layer rattan and delicate carved detail. The bed has been finished in olive green, distressed and has a white wash wax finish which has then been rubbed back. It has been aged and as such as marks here and there and exposed underlayers of paint.
We recommend using a bed base (available from us) to improve your comfort, and to protect and prolong the lifetime of your mattress. If you decide to put the mattress straight on the slats supplied we would always recommend a full mattress protector as the slats may mark the mattress. All our furniture is handmade and finished, and there may be very minor variation in the shade or pigmentation between individual pieces. Minor imperfections to the finish are to be anticipated and expected and should not be considered as defects. With painted finishes some paint settling will occur. This simply adds to the character of the furniture. We select orders of multiple items from batch numbers that are close together in number to keep the look as consistent as possible. The overall finish is far more attractive than anything mass produced, and will look absolutely right in any setting.
